Køge Bay offers a host of opportunities for those with a rod in their hands, families as well as dedicated anglers. You can fish along the coast or in the rivers Køge Å and Tryggevælde Å.

What to catch?
Besides pike, perch and sea trout, Tryggevælde Å is also a great place to catch ide, tench, roach and eel.

Angling is free between the three white bridges across Køge Å in Køge. The river is noted for its population of large perches and sea trouts, but it is also possible to catch river trout, pike and non-predatory fish.

Offshore fishing
Køge Bay is well known for its unique population of sea trout, a considerable number being landed every year, and the shore is a great place to use a spinning or fly fishing rod.

If you bring your own boat, you can have a try at trolling for sea trout, cod or turbot in Køge Bay. There are boat ramps in Køge Marina, Hundige Harbour and Mosede Harbour. For more details, please contact the harbours of your choice.

Remember the fishing licence! Persons aged 18-65 years must take out the mandatory fishing licence. It is for sale at post offices or at
