KØS shows changing exhibitions and the collections compise models and other preliminary works, including The little Mermaid.

The entrance to the museum has been decorated by Brazil´s greatest contemporay artist, Regina Silveira.

The Queen´s gobelins

There is no doubt that the museum´s highlight is Bjørn Nørgaard´s sketches for Queen Margrethe II´s gobelins. the finished woven tapestries are on view in the Great Hall of Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen, and in Køge you can see the 17 full size sketches. The sketches provided the pattern for the weavers in addition to more than 3000 minor sketches of all details for the impressive work, which depits 1000 years of Danish history.
