Winter in Køge

Candlemas

On Friday 3rd February 2017, Køge’s cultural institutions once again open their doors, inviting to Candlemas.

At this annually recurring event, Køge’s cultural scene presents itself with activities for the entire family, first of all in central Køge and on the harbour.

To get access to this evening’s activities, a Candlemas bracelet is required. The price is only DKK 30 per person (children under 4 are admitted free in the company of an adult). Candlemas bracelets are for sale at all participating cultural institutions and at VisitKøge.

The programme with an overview of all the events appears mid January and is available at VisitKøge.

Winter reading

Use the winter to read all the books you have not had the time to read yet. The libraries in Køge will be pleased to help you find good titles.

Music and more

Winter time is perfect for indoor activities such as going to concerts, lectures etc. Køge Bay has three concert venues, i.e. Bygningen and Tapperiet in Køge and Portalen in Hundige, Greve. On the programmes are concerts with Danish and foreign bands as well as theatre performances, lectures and a lot more. Tickets for all three venues are sold by VisitKøge.
