Opdagelsen (Discovery) - Køge

The urban space called Opdagelsen that you find on the South Harbour includes a covered outdoor kitchen, benches, and 85 harbour gardens tended by local citizens.

The outdoor kitchen includes four big barbecues and four working stations with water and electricity. The kitchen is available for several functions – such as children's birthdays, cosy outdoor eating with friends and relatives, cooking school events etc.

Please note that the water in the kitchen is turned off during the cold months.

This urban space has been inspired by ideas from cooking schools in 2012 and it was developed by the joint efforts of Det Grønne Hus (The Green House), BogL ApS, EVM Landscaping, landskape architect Bettina Lamm and Køge Bugt Project Centre.
