Yellow Hall (Gule Hal), a former warehouse on the South Harbour, accommodating from the very start a varied crowd of skaters, climbers and ship model builders.
“Life before the Town” in Køge Kyst is sprouting up. A dynamic crowd of skaters and ship model builders now enjoy themselves in the Yellow Hall on the South Harbour.
The hall has been split up into three parts. Tapperiet runs a skating hall, Køge Maritime Activity Centre has equipped another part of the hall with glass cases exhibiting meticulously detailed ship models on the scale of 1:20, and, in addition, the Yellow Hall includes a large room for public events, meetings etc. Changing exhibitions from Køge Museum, Køge Kyst and others can also be staged here.
Outside, the users of the hall are intended to be active in creating the facilities they might need.
Bit by bit, the skating hall will get more and more activities fitting into its active and spontaneous youthful environment. It is the intention to develop the Yellow Hall as a platform for new activities to be added gradually, with an openness to diversity and untraditional meetings.
