The Viking Castle is an archaeological excavation site which you can visit with the whole family. In our Welcome Centre you can see finds from the Viking Age and survey the Viking´s landscape from the observation post. The hidden ring castle has been set up to give you a sense of its vast size.

You can also go on a guided tour with the archaeologists and watch them at work. They are investigating why the 1.000-yeay-old Viking Castles were built, abandoned and forgotten. The Viking castle was not discovered iuntil 2014. It may be the key that unlocks the mysteries of the ring castles.
