Danish International Balloon Fiesta
Flying a hot air balloon is the oldest form of flying. Balloons are the dinosaur of the sky and can only be maneuvered by the wind.
They glide gently across the landscape, creating a spectacular view. Due to the nature of hot air balloons, they can only fly for a few hours after sunrise and a few hours before sunset at this time of year.
In 2025, 30–40 balloons floated over Ringsted, bringing extra joy to all visitors, young and old, and offering a sight and experience rarely seen.
The Danish International Balloon Fiesta is held every other year. The next event will take place from August 18–22, 2027.
