Søndre Strand beach has a beautiful setting with beach meadows and grazing animals.
Dogs and horses on the beach
Dogs must be kept on a leash on Søndre Strand beach in the period 1 April - 30 September, cf. The Protection of Nature Act. Horse riding on the beach is permitted in the period 1 September – 31 May, cf. The Protection of Nature Act.
Beach numbers
Søndre Strand beach shows its beach numbers as follows: J860 on the lifeguard post next to the bathing jetty, J863 by the lifeguard post on the beach path, and J866 on the path from the ice cream stall.
If in need of a rescue vehicle on Søndre Strand beach, be sure to mention the beach number closest to your position, which will enable the control centre to locate you.
